Infusion 45, 1-31-13

Ok, so I lied a little...I wasn't going to update as much but then I always feel like I'm forgetting to do something and that I should update..so here we are! One crying, screaming and resisting poke today :( It was also a blood draw week so it got messy. We have to send blood overnight by FedEx every other time so instead of just starting the meds Chelsea has to hook on another blood thing and that takes a little extra time and Avery just wasn't having it today! All is well now. She is a bottomless pit and has been eating since the start! So far she has had spaghetti without sauce, spaghetti with sauce, blue chips, 2 fruit snacks, 2 chocolate chip cookies and a gogurt. If she doesn't puke from all the junk we should be ok! Now I am just crossing my fingers for a nap...she needs one!!

Infusions 43, 1-3-13 and 44, 1-17-13

Both infusions went great! 1 poke! Avery slept lots at both infusions making everything easier! She is such a little trooper. I've been sending her water bottle to school so she can get lots of fluids in her before the poke. She has been falling asleep on the living room floor during her infusions. It is so sweet and she sleeps really good there..so there she stays!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2013! WoW! do we have some blessings to count from this past year. Avery has only improved and gotten stronger! We are lucky to have such an amazing little person and her big sis, Mya in our lives! We will continue to keep Avery attending school and start private PT, OT, and ST in the summer. Dr. Dabrowski and I feel it is best. She is totally wiped after a day at school and there wouldn't be a good time to do therapy without her missing school. She does get the therapy at school but it is not as intense or frequent and not always one on one. We are spoiled with our great insurance and Avery gets 40 private visits a year! So in the summer we will head back to Kids in Motion!
As the new year starts I won't be doing as much updating. Her appointments seem to be slowing down and infusions seem to be mostly the same each week. So I will update in bulk :) I will try to add more photos and videos though...that is kinda my NY resolution! We hope you all have an amazing 2013! Thanks for following our family and Avery! Cheers!

Infusion 42, 12-20-12

Our last infusion of 2012! Again, we wrapped Avery in the sheet and Wade held her too. Lots of tears and screaming this time :( but we got it with one poke. Avery fell asleep on the floor in front of the TV for almost 4 hours. She was wiped! I took a little nap too because Wade was here! Here is to a fabulous New Year! So thankful Chelsea was brought into our life this year!

Infusion 41, 12-6-12

Infusion 41 went pretty good. Chelsea had the idea to wrap Avery in a sheet so she couldn't move as much while getting poked. It worked out. No tears and one poke. The infusion went so fast it seemed like! phew..another one down!
